How to Get to Your Wisconsin Staycation

From Green Bay

The drive from Green Bay to Door County takes about 45 minutes, which is perfect for day trips and staycations. You’ll follow WI-57 North to Green Bay Road in Sturgeon Bay. Take the exit toward WI-42 BUS/WI-57 BUS/Business District from WI-57 North and stay on that path for about 45 minutes. Then, take South Madison Avenue to Michigan Street.

From Milwaukee

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and head to a charming, small town for a weekend getaway. Get on I-794 and follow I-43 North to Green Bay. Take Exit 185 from I-43 North and follow WI-57 North to Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay. It will take you less than two and a half hours to arrive in Door County.

From Madison

Hop in the car and drive for about three hours from Madison to Door County. You’ll begin by following West Johnson Street to US-151 North. Follow that route to WI-26 North in Waupun. Then, take Exit 148. Get on I-41/US-41 North in Nekimi and continue that way until Green Bay. Take Exit 185 and follow WI-57 North to Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay.
