State Park Biking Adventures
Door County has several state parks that welcome bikers on their trails. Newport State Park offers you 7 peaceful trails that take you through forests, uplands and meadows. You also ride alongside 11 miles of the shores of Lake Michigan.
Peninsula State Park is a popular destination for cyclists in Door County. Riders love the 9.6-mile Sunset Bike Route which offers shaded trails, views of the water, and places to stop and rest. If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside ride, County Road Q is the bike trail for you. It’s a forested route that takes you about 9 miles with awesome pit stops along the way, including Mud Lake State Wildlife Area, North Bay, Moonlight Bay and more.
For a Door County bike trail that mixes both land and water, you’ll want to visit Washington Island. Bring your bike and ride the ferry where you’ll find 100-miles of paved trails to explore.
